Data You Give Us Directly
Search queries
When you enter information in a search box, the request goes to the outside provider that runs that tool. The provider processes the fields and returns its own results. Calhoun County Warrant Records does not store or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and contact submissions
If a message is sent to the site operator through an available contact channel, the message may be kept so a reply can be made. It stays within the operator’s organization unless a valid legal obligation requires disclosure. The Contact page lists public agency routes; it is not a county warrant desk.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, basic technical information may be recorded, including:
- The network address assigned to your device.
- Your browser name and version.
- Device category and operating system.
- Pages visited and time spent on them.
- The referring site, when one is available.
- Dates and times of page requests.
Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files held by your browser. The site and analytics services may use them to count visits, understand which pages are used, and find errors. You can block cookies in your browser settings. Some features may not work the same way after they are disabled.
What We Do With This Data
Information described above may be used to:
- Keep pages available and responsive.
- Send a search request to the outside tool selected by a visitor.
- Measure which pages are useful and where they need changes.
- Find and repair technical faults.
- Display advertising that may reflect browsing interests.
No Warrant Data on File
This private reference does not host, build, maintain, or sell a database of warrants or private warrant histories. It explains where Calhoun County records may be checked through court clerks, municipal courts, and Sheriff contacts. The District Clerk, County Clerk, JP courts, and city courts control their own official case records. Site visitor information is not collected into a consumer report about another person, and the operator is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
A search tool embedded in a page is operated by an outside company. Information typed into its fields is handled under that company’s privacy terms, retention period, and sharing practices. Calhoun County Warrant Records does not control how a search partner processes those submissions. Review the provider’s policy before sending personal details.
Links to Other Websites
Pages may link to Calhoun County offices, Port Lavaca Municipal Court, Seadrift or Point Comfort contacts, Texas agencies, and outside search providers. A click takes you to a different operator whose own privacy policy applies. Review it before sharing information.
Advertising partners may also use their own systems to track activity across websites for ad selection. That activity is governed by the partner’s rules, not by Calhoun County or the linked courts.
Who Might See Your Data
The site does not sell personal data. Depending on how a feature is used, information may be handled by:
- A search provider receiving the fields entered into its tool.
- Analytics services measuring traffic and performance.
- Advertising networks that serve page ads.
- A government body or law-enforcement office when a valid legal demand requires a response.
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable technical and organizational steps are used to protect information the site receives. No internet connection or storage system can be guaranteed safe in every situation. The operator works to reduce risk but cannot promise that a security incident will never happen.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults and does not knowingly seek personal details from children under 18. If a minor has submitted information to the operator, a deletion request can be made through a published site contact method. Do not send a child’s information to a county clerk or police office as a substitute.
Your Data Rights
You may ask the operator to provide a copy of visitor information it holds, correct a mistake, delete information, or stop certain processing where those requests apply. Texas Government Code Chapter 552, the Texas Public Information Act, governs records held by governmental bodies such as Calhoun County offices. It does not turn this private website into a public agency or set the rules for analytics data collected here.
- Request access to site-held information about you.
- Ask for inaccurate site-held information to be corrected.
- Request deletion where the operator can lawfully remove it.
- Ask about choices for certain processing or advertising activity.
The Texas Attorney General’s plain-language PIA overview explains the government-record process.
Updates to This Policy
The policy may be revised as site practices change. A new version will be posted here with a revised effective date. Review the page from time to time if you want to know how visitor information is handled.
